Bimmer Magazine Photo Shoot

Yesteday I picked up the 850CSi from Detailing Dynamics who spent a few days going through a very thorough detailing in preperation of her upcoming photo shoot.  Today I drove her out to NJ and had the pleasure of meeting none other but Klaus Schnitzer who took her photo’s for an upcoming article to be featured in Bimmer Magazine.   It was rather amazing watching Klaus work and setup for the pictures.

8th Annual Great Marques - First Place

Well Silver girl was displaced as champion this year and won 2nd Place as her bigger German sister who participating in her very first Concours event in this country won 1st Place at the 8th Annual Great Marques Concours d’Elegance at Old Westbury Gardens that featured BMW, Porsche and Aston Martin.  For more pictures 

BimmerFest East 2003 - Judges Choice

Today we drove up to LimeRock Park to attend Bimmerfest 2003 where the 850CSi won Judges choice in the Concours Event.  

Looking for Euro 850CSi

Doug and I flew out to Germany with a list of three Euro Spec CSI to look at.  Our first and what turned out our last stop was Autohaus Laakmann in Oelde, Germany to look at a 1994 Tobago Blue CSi. 

After I saw this car in person and then saw the incredible color-line interior it was over and there was no need to look further as I knew this was the one!  What sealed the deal was taking her out for a test drive on the autobahn and effortlessly achieving 160mph+. There was no question that this one owner Dr driven car had to be mine.

7th Annual Great Marques - First Place

Silver girl continued last years success and won 1st Place at the 7th Annual Great Marques Concours De Elegance that featured cars from BMW, Porsche and Aston Martin. 

My newly acquired MINI Cooper S who I had no intentions on entering but was one of only a few MINIs in attendance was dragged into participation and won 6th Place.  For more Pictures

6th Annual Great Marques-Best in Marque

Today we picked up my 850i from Detailing Dynamics and drove her out to Old Westbury Garderns to participate in her first Concours event at the Great Marque event where BMW, Ferrari and Porsche participated. 

To my delight she was well received and not only won “1st in Class” but also “Best in Marque BMW”.
